OpenRazer 3.9 Launches with Expanded Support for Latest Razer Devices
Quoting: OpenRazer 3.9 Launches with Expanded Support for Latest Razer Devices —
OpenRazer, a popular open-source driver and daemon that enables control over Razer peripherals on Linux, has just released its latest update, version 3.9.
This new release includes some exciting additions and improvements but also introduces a breaking change that users should be aware of. One of them is that OpenRazer 3.9 has replaced the deprecated Python package ‘notify2’ for sending notifications. Instead, it now relies on the ‘notify-send’ command to deliver system notifications.
As a result, the OpenRazer daemon package must now depend on a package that includes ‘notify-send.’ While this change modernizes the notification system, it may require users to install additional dependencies, depending on their Linux distribution.
