Originally a fork of the blazing-fast Blackbox window manager from the early 2000s, Openbox has been entirely rewritten in the meantime and is now one unique piece of code. This simple and highly flexible window manager is part of Mabox Linux, a Manjaro stable-based distro that also comes with the tint2 panel/taskbar and the Jgmenu X11-inspired menu, which was designed with scripting, ricing, and tweaking in mind. Yesterday, Mabox Linux received a refresh that took its version number up to 24.09.
For now, there is no release announcement available anywhere. However, the SourceForge repository includes a text file that contains the list of packages included and the version number of each one.
