Over the past week, including yesterday (see this latest update about a Microsoft-connected site), the media cared to acknowledge that GNU/Linux had become a very real threat to Windows on desktops and laptops, not just those other sectors which Linux dominates already. The Microsoft-connected site said "Linux had a market share of just 0.68% in 2009. In 2023, that share had ballooned to 3.82%." █
