Steam Deck and Linux Gaming Compatibility: A Snapshot from Early 2024
Steam Deck and Linux desktop users have much to celebrate as of January 5th, 2024. An in-depth compatibility assessment of Steam’s most popular games reveals a growing compatibility with both platforms. Steam Deck, Valve Corporation’s handheld gaming device, now boasts over 13,000 games rated as at least ‘Playable’. Further, a snapshot of the top 100 games, ranked by peak player count, demonstrates a significant degree of compatibility. 75 of these top games are rated at least ‘Playable’ on the Steam Deck, indicating an improving gaming experience for users.
