Quoting: Rufus alternative Ventoy brings many Linux improvements, adds SteamOS recovery - Neowin —
Earlier this month, Microsoft hit two major milestones on Windows. Version 26H2 for Windows 11 was released to everyone, including enterprises as well the general public (ISOs available), as Microsoft's desktop OS turned five. As a result, many users and enthusiasts hope to see some teaser regarding the next gen Windows version.
Speaking of Windows 11 26H2 ISOs, Microsoft is already offering them via its official MCT tool, though third-party alternatives like Ventoy and Rufus allow users to bypass the system requirements. The former has released a new update that has plenty of improvements on the Linux side; and although it is not specifically stated, you can use it to install Windows 11 26H2 as well.
A major highlight of the release is the Linux Remount feature. For context, Ventoy allows you to put multiple ISO files on a single USB drive and boot them directly, without having to reformat the drive every time you want to switch between operating systems. The remount feature should make it easier to access the partition containing those ISO files after booting into a Linux distro.
