Parrot OS 7.4 Released with AnonSurf 6.0, Updated Raspberry Pi Images

Coming three months after Parrot OS 7.3, the Parrot OS 7.4 release is here as the fourth update in the Parrot OS 7.0 series, which was the first to move from using MATE to KDE Plasma as the default desktop environment. However, MATE and LXQt spins are also available, along with an Enlightenment spin that was introduced in the Parrot 7.1 release.

Efinix Sapphire RV64 brings 64-bit RISC-V and Linux to FPGAs

Efinix announced this week the Sapphire RV64, a configurable 64-bit RISC-V soft SoC intended for embedded Linux, edge AI and other applications requiring more memory and processing capability than the company’s existing 32-bit Sapphire architecture. The processor can be implemented across Efinix Titanium and Topaz FPGAs, as well as Trion devices from the T20 upward.

Featuring the quad-core Allwinner H618, the BPI-CM7 is a compact compute module with onboard LPDDR4 memory, eMMC storage, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. The module uses two 100-pin board-to-board connectors and is intended for use with Banana Pi’s BPI-CM7IO carrier board, which exposes multiple peripheral interfaces.
