Kevin Fenzi: Misc [Fedora] infra bits from first week of sept 2025
It's been a pretty quiet time in fedora infrastructure over the last week. The IAD2->RDU3 datacenter move is all over, we are in Fedora 43 Beta freeze, so many changes are on pause, and late summer vacation season is still ongoing with many people away. This has been pretty nice for me, as it's allowed me to actually work on my backlog of items and make some progress.
Anubis
Web scrapers continue to be anoying, although with the datacenter move we have increased capacity so we can weather it much better. Still, thats unlikely to last forever, so I've taken this time to look at putting anubis in place to help protect things.

Peter Robinson: Initial Minimal Fedora Image for Raspberry Pi 5
I know this has been much awaited because of all the queries on the various forums and direct to me so here we are the first Fedora image that can run a native userspace with a Fedora kernel with some enablement patches.
This image is far from complete and is NOT yet suitable for desktop UXes and related usecases that require a display.
So what works, what doesn’t, and how can you get started?

GNOME ☛ Christian Schaller: More adventures in the land of Hey Hi (AI) and Open Source
I been doing a lot of work with Hey Hi (AI) recently, both as part of a couple of projects I am part of at work, but I have also taken a personal interest in understanding the current state and what is possible. My favourite Hey Hi (AI) tool currently is Claude.ai. Anyway I have a Prusa Core One 3D printer now that I also love playing with and one thing I been wanting to do is to print some multicolor prints with it. So the Prusa Core One is a single extruder printer, which means it only has 1 filament loaded at any given time. Other printers on the market, like the PrusaXL has 5 extruders, so it can have 5 filaments or colors loaded at the same time.

LWN ☛ Anaconda WebUI: progress update and roadmap
Fedora's Community Blog has a short update on the progress of Fedora's new installer with a web-based interface. The new installer was introduced for the Workstation edition in Fedora Linux 42, it is now approved to be included in all Fedora spins and the KDE edition for Fedora 43. Final deprecation of the GTK-based installer is set for Fedora 45. LWN covered the installer changes in April.
