Tomeu Vizoso: Etnaviv NPU update 22: YOLOX support
We have expanded our open-source NPU support for object detection: YOLOX is now running on the Etnaviv driver.
This brings high-performance, open-source Hey Hi (AI) acceleration to the Vivante VIP line of NPUs, including those found in the NXP i.MX 8M Plus and the Amlogic A311D. Adding YOLOX gives users more options when balancing detection accuracy against available hardware resources.

Hackaday ☛ An Atari Desktop On A Sega
We should in all fairness start by saying it’s not “real” TOS, but EmuTOS, an open-source drop-in replacement. So far it supports a serial keyboard device, a printer, and sound, and it mounts the CD or cartridge it booted from, a RAMdisk, internal backup RAM, and cartridge save RAM. We’re told in the tip email that there’s also been some work porting GEOS to the platform, and thus the GEOS software suite may be ported to it.

University of Toronto ☛ I've become more optimistic about my someday future on Wayland
Today I use an extensively customized X environment, and I have every intention of clinging grimly to it for as long as I can. But Wayland is the future, even if the future isn't arriving very fast, and someday I'll have to move to Wayland. For a long time I've expected that to be very unpleasant, with a lot of differences and a significantly inferior environment as the result. However, these days I'm somewhat more optimistic, although I still expect a lot of pain (and to have to rebuild or replace a lot of programs).

[Repeat] Dan Langille ☛ FreeBSD backup libraries such as base/FreeBSD-kerberos-lib-backup-libkrb5profile.so
One of the monitoring checks I have in place will identify any installed package which is not in the package repository. That helps me identify any failed package builds or packages I have build once, installed, and did not added to my package building system. You can find that check in my git repo of nagios things.
Case in point: [...]
