Desktop Zoom can now be activated in Settings > Accessibility, from the Accessibility applet in the panel, or using the shortcuts Super + =, Super + -, or Super + Mouse Scroll.

Over a month after the previous Alpha 5, System76 officially unveiled COSMIC Alpha 6, the latest sneak peek at its upcoming Rust-based new desktop environment, focused on fine-tuning user experiences before the much-anticipated beta launch.
One of the most immediately noticeable additions is Desktop Zoom, which can be turned on via “Settings” > “Accessibility,” through the Accessibility panel applet, or by using handy shortcuts like “Super + =,” “Super + –,” or “Super + Mouse Scroll.”

Although COSMIC is very much a work-in-progress (i.e., unfinished, feature incomplete, and lacking polish) some intrepid folks already use it as their daily driver —though most folks eager to sample it will get a better impression from the upcoming COSMIC beta.
Still, these monthly(ish) alpha milestones provide a an easy way to peer through the portal to see how the COSMIC desktop UI, UX, and burgeoning app ecosystem is shaping up.
