Shenzhen Graperain Technology has featured an Allwinner A733 development platform with a gold-finger system-on-module and carrier board. It provides an octa-core Arm processor, 3-TOPS NPU, LPDDR5 memory, M.2 storage, GbE and multiple display and camera interfaces.

Makerfabs has added a 7.5-inch model to its MaTouch E Ink family, pairing an 800 × 480 four-color electrophoretic display with an ESP32-S3 controller, four-microphone array, six-axis IMU, microSD storage and optional camera. Forlinx Embedded has listed an M.2 AI accelerator card based on Rockchip’s RK1820 and RK1828 processors, providing 20 TOPS of INT8 computing performance and up to 5GB of integrated DRAM. The module uses an M.2 2280 interface and is designed to handle local AI inference, including large language models, vision-language models, and computer vision workloads on embedded Linux and Android systems.

First up was the welcome event on Friday evening, which took place at a rooftop bar overlooking Jakominiplatz; this was lovely in the evening light, and spectacular at night with parts of the city lit up!

I had fun helping to prepare and hand out lanyards to everyone as they arrived. This was also where Nico introduced many of us to Sturm — young, lightly fermented wine; sweet and flavorful. This became a hit at the welcome event and indeed all of Akademy!
