M5Stack recently launched the ASR Unit, which is an offline voice recognition module incorporating the CI-03T AI offline voice module. It is designed for applications that require speech recognition, voiceprint detection, and voice enhancement without relying on cloud-based processing.

MINIX NGC-NR660 Mini PC with High-Speed 2.5GbE Networking and Triple Display Support

MINIX has recently launched the NGC-NR660, a compact yet powerful Mini PC featuring an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor and AMD Radeon 660M graphics. SECO Pi Vision 10.1 Brings Modular Industrial HMI with Raspberry Pi CM5

SECO S.p.A. and Raspberry Pi Ltd have introduced the SECO Pi Vision 10.1 CM5, an HMI solution powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, debuting at embedded world 2025 from March 11-13 in Nuremberg. This modular system combines SECO’s hardware and IoT expertise with Raspberry Pi’s technology for industrial automation, smart retail, and transportation.

DietPi February 2025 News (Version 9.10)

The February 9, 2025 release of DietPi v9.10 introduces new images for single-board computers, improved compatibility for RISC-V devices, enhanced software tools, and several important bug fixes. This update extends support for StarFive VisionFive 2 and PINE64 Star64 with Debian Trixie, refines automation capabilities, and addresses software installation issues reported by the community.

ESP32-S3 IR Thermal Imaging Camera Module with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity

Waveshare recently launched the ESP32-S3 IR Thermal Imaging Camera Module which is a wireless infrared thermal imaging device based on the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 chip. Designed with a compact form factor of 29 × 29mm, this module is intended for applications such as thermal monitoring, security surveillance, and industrial diagnostics.

NetCard 3 for H Series Expanding 5GbE Networking on ODROID H3 and H4

The NetCard 3 is an add-on network expansion card designed exclusively for the ODROID-H3 and H4 series, offering four high-speed 5GbE Ethernet ports. Fwupd 2.0.6 Adds Support for HPE Gen10 and Gen10+ Devices Using Redfish

Fwupd 2.0.6 is here ten days after fwupd 2.0.5 with support for HPE Gen10 and Gen10+ devices using Redfish, a new fwupdtool efiboot-hive command to allow setting the nmbl command line, support for setting the inhibit reason from the fwupdmgr command, and support for USB-provided hidraw devices to use DS-20 descriptors.

Calibre 7.26 Open-Source Ebook Manager Is Out with New Features and Bug Fixes

Calibre 7.26 lets you specify web search links that are used when clicking on item names in the Book details panel for custom columns via Preferences->Add your own columns and adds the ability to perform the same action as clicking it in the book details panel when clicking on author names in the book details page.

That’s a large step toward our first milestone. Now, we need essential functionality. The goal of the first milestone is to enable broad testing of applications by the community, and essential functionality has to work in order to get good feedback about applications.

For a phone, sound is about as essential as it gets.
