Undeadly ☛ OpenBSD relayd(8) adds ECDSA support with CA engine code from smtpd(8)
Up until quite recently, relayd(8) did not actually support ECDSA keys and certificates, as described in the Relayd doesn't like ecdsa thread on the tech@ mailing list.
The problem is now solved.

NetBSD ☛ Google Summer of Code 2026 Reports: Testing Compat Linux: Syscall testing
This report was written by Henrique Brito as part of Surveillance Giant Google Summer of Code 2026.
NetBSD is capable of executing GNU/Linux compiled binaries through a thin, in-kernel translation layer, compat_linux, which, among many other things, is responsible for ‘capturing’ the syscalls made by the program and calling a stub, which is responsible for generating the expected output and behavior. Generally this stub ends up calling the NetBSD version of the syscall and translating the results in a way a GNU/Linux program would expect. Sometimes it has to do more work.

I’m really grateful to the FreeBSD Foundation for sponsoring my trip to BSDCan 2026 in Ottawa. The conference ran for four days — two days of DevSummit, then two days of the main conference, with many interesting talks throughout.

FreeBSD ☛ BSDCan 2026 Travel Report – Patrick McEvoy
The June 2026 FreeBSD DevSummit & BSDCan was again successfully recorded and streamed through longtime streaming sponsor ScaleEngine. The requested DevSummit 2 question microphone system kept our running around to a minimum and fit the two rows of DMS1160. We got to see CheriBSD hardware again, in fact, Brooks Davis presented from a CheriBSD box.
