CNX Software ☛ Amazing Hand – A 8-DOF 3D-printable open-source robotic hand for prototyping and research
Seeed Studio’s Amazing Hand is an open-source, 3D-printable robotic hand kit with eight degrees of freedom (8-DOF), designed for developers working on robotics control and hardware experimentation. It integrates all actuators directly in the hand itself, making it suitable for robotics projects, education, prototyping, and integration into systems like Reachy2 or custom robotic arms. The hand uses eight Feetech SCS0009 servos arranged in a parallel linkage, with all actuators housed in the palm to keep the unit compact and lightweight at around 400 grams.

Hackaday ☛ Retro Style VFO Has Single-Digit Parts Count
Not every project has to be complicated– reinventing the wheel has its place, but sometimes you find a module or two that does exactly what you want, and the project is more than halfway done. That the kind of project [mircemk]’s Simple Retro Style VFO is — it’s a variable frequency oscillator for HAM and other use, built with just a couple of modules.

CNX Software ☛ XIAO ePaper DIY Kit features ESP32-S3 or nRF52840 SoC, supports 1.54-inch to 7.5-inch displays
Seeed Studio has launched two new ePaper display DIY Kits: the XIAO ePaper DIY Kit-EN04 and XIAO ePaper DIY Kit-EE04, respectively powered by a Nordic Semi nRF52840 or Espressif ESP32-S3 wireless SoC. Both kits support 24-pin and 50-pin ePaper displays, and the company offers 1.54-inch to 7.5-inch displays as options. The XIAO ePaper DIY kits also feature a battery connector with a power switch, a built-in charging IC, and come with one reset and three user buttons. They target low-power ePaper projects such as digital signage, electronic labels, and portable information boards.

Jonas Hietala ☛ Jonas Hietala: 3D printer repairing and modding
I’ve had my VORON Trident for 2 years and I’ve run it for 2600 hours. Overall I’m happy with the printer but I’ve been itching to make some more mods to it. Having finally finished the VORON 0 (with mods) I now have a backup printer I can use to rescue myself when I screw up.

Raspberry Pi ☛ 1GB Raspberry Pi 5 now available at $45, and memory-driven price rises
But today, to offset the recent unprecedented rise in the cost of LPDDR4 memory, we are announcing price increases to some Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 products. These largely mirror the increases that we announced in October for our Compute Module products, and will help us to secure memory supplies as we navigate an increasingly constrained market in 2026.

Arduino ☛ 3Duino helps you rapidly create interactive 3D-printed devices
Every few months, some new software comes along that promises to make some complex engineering discipline accessible to everyone. Such software rarely lives up to the developer’s claims, because the claims are far too ambitious. But what if the scope is more reasonable?
