Well, didn't holidays mean dinner with the family before they meant consumerism and bogus discounts (stock clearances)?
Tomorrow, many in the US return to work after a long Thanksgiving weekend. It's not that Thanksgiving is an international holiday; it's not, even if outside the US there is another Thanksgiving. But for English-speaking sites an American public being on holiday is a guarantee of slow news, plus slop news (LLM slop) to fake or distract from an absence of staff. On Friday and Monday there is also a "black" and "cyber" fake 'holiday' - assuring that many news sites will be full of marketing spam. We can't wait till it's all over, hopefully by Tuesday unless Amazon 'invents' another fake 'holiday'. █
