Sacha Chua ☛ emacs.news
Now you can use emacs.news to get to Emacs News. That should save some clicking/typing. It redirects to my blog category at the moment, so the URL doesn't show emacs.news after you get there, but I've added it to the note at the top of that category page to help people find out about the shortcut.

Protesilaos Stavrou ☛ Emacs live new Halloween theme for ‘ef-themes’ at 2026-10-31 14:00 Europe/Athens
This is a spontaneous live stream. I plan to develop at least one new theme for my ‘ef-themes’ package which will be in the spirit of Halloween. Depending on my progress, I will do two themes, actually.
I will keep the chat open, in case there are any questions related to this or anything else—I always answer everything.

University of Toronto ☛ Being more selective about python-lsp-server plugins in my Emacs setup
I use python-lsp-server (pylsp) as my primary LSP server Server Protocol]] in my GNU Emacs environment; although there are other options, I prefer pylsp for various reasons. Pylsp has a bunch of core features and can also be extended with plugins (what it calls 'providers'). A few years ago I learned a useful lesson about being careful about what plugins I installed, when trying out Eglot surfaced pycodestyle diagnostics that I didn't want.
