Software Projects With Only One User (or None)
Over the years I built lots of software and started many projects. Some are still in use; most are abandoned, I assume used by nobody anymore.
When it comes to slop-ware, what tends to happen is that some person (not people, only one individual) lazily prompts away at some LLM to 'hallucinate' some uninteresting 'app' into existence. It won't be maintained because: 1) nobody knows about it; 2) nobody knows or understands the code; 3) it's too expensive.
There will be lots of abandonware that is (and always was) just slop, left abandoned, unused, a waste of energy basically.
Making more and more 'apps' isn't the goal; making quality things is the only thing that counts. People will, over time, gravitate towards high quality. █
