The original spirit that the web should be as writable as it was readable, extended to shareable.
And in some way, shaped by economics and technology, we got an approximation of that vision..shrinkwraped and sanitized.
I often think about the visions put forth by browsers like Amaya and, much later Flock. That a browser should be a tool for creation as much as consumption.
I still hold that vision in my heart, over the few years I have experimented with building little browsers that support gemini (the protocol, not the llm *sigh*) and rss and other web technologies unpolluted by what has become of modern standards.
I'm unconvinced that is *the* future, but maybe it could be a future.
To borrow an old call to arms that I have found some inspiration in in recent times...we need new noise.
I'm still trying to find it.

The PostgreSQL Global Development Group announces that the fourth beta release of
The next planned release of PostgreSQL 19 is the release candidate, which should occur in early October. Based on testing and evaluation, this means that the PostgreSQL 19 GA may also occur in October. More details will be provided as we move closer to these releases.
This beta release reverted several features that were originally planned for PostgreSQL 19. The PostgreSQL community strongly believes that, first and foremost, PostgreSQL must be reliable.

The first many years I had used a method of uploaded images out-of-band to Wordpress, so exporting images generally did not go so well in the output. An easy fix though. Worse was that all code-blocks was without language specification. It would have taken me many hours to go though my entire portfolio of blog posts and fix this. So instead I burnt some tokens (and CO2) and had Claude do it
The tool also added a front matter to the markdown files, which fitted quite nicely into Astro expectations
