Beelink EQi 304: Can Linux Make Proper Use of Its One Fast CPU Core?
The kernel is clearly aware that this is a hybrid processor. It reports that hybrid CPU capacity scaling is enabled, with Intel’s P-state driver and Hardware P-states also active. Linux therefore has the information it needs to account for the different capabilities of the cores. The interesting question is whether the scheduler uses that information well.
Before looking at scheduling behaviour, I measured a single-threaded OpenSSL SHA-256 workload when explicitly restricted to each CPU. This shows how much performance can be at stake when Linux chooses one type of core over another.
Choreonoid - integrated graphical framework for robot development
The framework is designed to remain lightweight while providing a common environment for researchers, developers and engineers working with robot models and control systems. Its plugin architecture is central to the design, allowing specialised functionality to be added without rebuilding the application around a particular robot or research project.
Because visualization, simulation and motion editing share the same environment, developers can examine a model, test its behaviour and refine motions without continually switching applications. Choreonoid has been used for projects spanning academic research, industrial robotics and entertainment, with a particularly long history in humanoid robotics.

cockpit-podman - web interface for managing Podman containers
The software fits naturally into Cockpit’s browser-based approach to system management. It provides a consolidated view of Podman resources and exposes common lifecycle and inspection tasks from the same interface used for other Cockpit administration modules. This makes it particularly useful for administrators who want direct control over containers on a server without adopting a larger container orchestration platform.

osmin - GPS navigator for on-road and off-road use
On desktop systems it maintains a dedicated osmin directory beneath the user’s home directory for configuration, downloaded resources and other persistent data. Linux and BSD are supported build and test environments, while Android packages target ARM devices. This combination makes it particularly relevant for walkers, cyclists and drivers who prefer open mapping data and self-contained navigation tools.
