CNX Software ☛ TickrCast – An ESP32-S3 HUB75 LED ticker display with server-side rendering and OTA (Crowdfunding)
Layered Ventures LLC has launched the TickrCast, an expandable HUB75 LED ticker display built around an ESP32-S3. The TickrCast ships as a full consumer product designed to display live esports data, traditional sports scores, social control media metrics, and flight tracking across a daisy-chained array of panels. Unlike a typical LED matrix development board, the system is a complete product with a custom controller board, plug-and-play panels, power connectors, a companion app, and an expandable enclosure. The display starts with two panels and can be expanded by adding additional panels, with the company targeting configurations of 10 or more panels. The system is controlled through Wi-Fi, while Bluetooth LE is used for initial provisioning, and the manufacturer provides more than 30 plugins at launch with no subscription required. The platform also supports signed over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates and hardware flash encryption for improved device security.

CNX Software ☛ TinyGo 0.42 adds support for 87 Puya PY32 MCU variants and two EmbedFire boards
CNXSoft: This is a guest post by Pavel Burgr, who recently added Puya PY32 MCU support to TinyGo 0.42, the latest version of the Go compiler for microcontrollers. We first covered TinyGo in 2019, and the project is still going strong with 17.7k stars, 1.1k forks, and 243 contributors. I just made a few edits and added illustrations and a few links to the article. TinyGo 0.42 adds support for the Puya PY32 family of 32-bit Arm microcontrollers. The new port includes startup code, generated device-register definitions, linker scripts, GPIO and UART support, and targets for 87 individual MCU configurations.

The reComputer RK3576 compute module is based on Rockchip’s RK3576 SoC, which integrates four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores reaching 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by an Arm Mali-G52 MC3 GPU, while the integrated NPU provides up to 6 TOPS of INT8 AI acceleration.
