Arti 2.6.0 released

This release continues our ongoing development towards using Arti as a relay and as a directory authority, with much of the work focusing on document parsing, directory mirror support, and DNS stream handling. Additionally, on the RPC front, we are making steady progress towards RPC-based configuration management. Finally, congestion control and Counter Galois Onion cryptography are both now always enabled in arti.

Bluetooth/UWB board based on nRF52840 offers 10cm accuracy

The board is based on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF52840 microcontroller, which integrates a 64MHz Arm Cortex-M4 processor with floating-point support, 1MB of flash memory, and 256KB of RAM. Wireless connectivity from the MCU consists of 2.4GHz Bluetooth 5.0, with supported Bluetooth data rates of 2Mbps, 1Mbps, 500kbps, and 125kbps.

Embedded platform implements Amlogic A311Y3 octa-core SoC with PCIe 3.0 support

The Amlogic A311Y3 integrates two Arm Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.4GHz alongside six Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by an Arm Mali-G625 MC1 GPU, while the integrated neural processing unit provides up to 8 TOPS of AI acceleration with support for INT4, INT8, INT16, FP8, FP16, and BF16 workloads.

Aquila IQ8 takes Dragonwing IQ-8275 designs from prototype to production

Following the recent launch of the Arduino Ventuno Q, Toradex has introduced the Aquila IQ8, its first Qualcomm Dragonwing-based System on Module. Built around the same IQ-8275 processor, the module targets industrial edge AI, robotics, computer vision, and other compute-intensive embedded applications.

Ventuno Q runs Ubuntu on Dragonwing IQ8 with 40-TOPS NPU along with real-time STM32H5

The Ventuno Q was first shown in March this year and is based on the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 IQ-8275, which integrates an eight-core Qualcomm Kryo CPU, an Adreno 623 GPU, a Spectra 692 image signal processor, and a Hexagon NPU rated for up to 40 dense TOPS of AI acceleration.
