Jari Komppa ☛ Untitled Space Game, update 10
Wrote a little bit of framework code to get some keyboard inputs in, and revamped the navigation screen a bit. The smoothstep I was using to make the starmap a bit dynamic wasn't really working, so I spent some time figuring out a new formula (still using a table lookup so it should(tm) work fine on the next). I'm still not 100% happy with the way it works but it's still better than just doing a plain 2d scroll.

HowTo Geek ☛ Valve just fixed several broken games on Linux with a Proton Experimental update
Valve has dropped a significant new Proton Experimental update. While today's update specifically targets launch issues in Uno and Far Cry 4. It comes after a wave of updates for other titles.
If you’ve been running into trouble starting certain titles lately, you’ll be happy to know that the compatibility layer is getting some serious polish. A major regression in Proton Experimental that caused games like the classic party favorite Uno and the open-world shooter Far Cry 4 to simply not start has been completely fixed in this latest patch.
I would say the biggest problem with compatibility updates is that sometimes they unintentionally break older titles, so getting these big names playable again is great news for the community.
