Coming more than three months after Kali Linux 2025.2, the Kali Linux 2025.3 release introduces Nexmon support, a “patched” firmware for certain wireless chips to extend their functionality, which finally implements monitor mode and injection mode for Raspberry Pi‘s in-built Wi-Fi.

OBS Studio 32.0 Adds PipeWire Video Capture Improvements, Basic Plugin Manager

Coming two and a half months after OBS Studio 31.1, the OBS Studio 32.0 release introduces a new plugin manager, Voice Activity Detection (VAD) support for NVIDIA RTX Audio Effects, which improves noise suppression for speech, Hybrid MOV support, and improved format selection for PipeWire video capture.

RPM 6.0 Released with Support for Multiple OpenPGP Signatures per Package

Highlights of RPM 6.0 include support for enforcing signature checking by default, support for multiple OpenPGP signatures per package, support for OpenPGP v6 and PQC keys and signatures, support for updating previously imported keys, and support for both RPM v4 and v6 packages.

MX Linux 25 “Infinity” Enters Public Beta Testing Based on Debian 13 “Trixie”

Powered by the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel series on the standard editions and a Linux 6.15 Liquorix kernel on the AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) editions, MX Linux 25 (codename Infinity) ships with the Xfce 4.20, KDE Plasma 6.3.6, and Fluxbox 1.3.7 graphical environments by default.

Olimex RP2350-PICO2-BB48 Open Source Development Board

The hardware configuration is based on the RP2350B processor, which integrates dual Cortex-M33 or dual RISC-V cores operating at 150MHz. It includes 520KB of on-chip SRAM, while the external flash and optional PSRAM expand resources for more demanding applications. The BB48R variant adds a microSD slot that enables additional data handling capabilities.

In a somewhat unexpected move, Cloudflare has announced its sponsorship of the Ladybird browser, an independent (still-in-development) open-source initiative aimed at developing a modern, standalone web browser engine. It’s a project launched by GitHub’s co-founder and former CEO, Chris Wanstrath, and tech visionary Andreas Kling.

It’s written in C++, and designed to be fast, standards-compliant, and free of external dependencies. Its main selling point? Unlike most alternative browsers today, Ladybird doesn’t sit on top of Chromium or WebKit.

Instead, it’s building a completely new rendering engine from scratch, which is a rare thing in today’s web landscape. For reference, the vast majority of web traffic currently runs through engines developed by either Google (Blink/Chromium), Apple (WebKit), or Mozilla (Gecko).
