Linux Kernel 6.13 Officially Released, This Is What’s New

Highlights of Linux 6.13 include lazy preemption support to simplify kernel’s preemption logic, support for running Linux in protected virtual machines (a.k.a. realm) under the Arm CCA (Confidential Compute Architecture), user-space shadow stack support for AArch64 (ARM64) via Guarded Control Stack (GCS), support for 6-node sub-NUMA clustering on Intel, and split-lock detection support for AMD CPUs.

Armbian 22.08 Arrives with Linux 5.19, Wayland by Default for KDE Plasma, PiKVM Support

Armbian 22.08 is here three months after the Armbian 22.05 release to introduce a few exciting changes, starting with the enablement of the Wayland session by default for the KDE Plasma desktop environment. This means that new KDE Plasma installations will default to Wayland when using the Armbian 22.08 images. In addition, the KDE Plasma install gets fixed against a broken/invisible fonts issue reported by users from previous releases.
