Hadron – minimal Linux distribution for cloud and edge
Quoting: Hadron - minimal Linux distribution for cloud and edge - LinuxLinks —
Hadron is an independently developed Linux distribution designed as a minimal foundation for cloud and edge environments. It is built from scratch rather than being based on an existing distribution, and stays close to vanilla upstream components.
The distribution uses musl libc, systemd and vanilla Linux kernels. Hadron supports conventional booting with Dracut and GRUB as well as Trusted Boot using unified system images. System upgrades are handled using the Kairos agent, with an A/B approach that allows a new system image to be deployed while retaining the previous version for recovery.
Hadron does not ship with a package manager by default. Instead, it is intended as a small base system on which additional software and services can be built. Images can also be configured with k3s or k0s for Kubernetes deployments.
