Omarchy Quattro Review: Year of the Linux Desktop?
Omarchy Quattro has been making waves in the Linux and tech communities for the past few days. It all started with the announcement that the Omacon Foundation was seeded $8 million dollars in funding to develop Omarchy Linux. This drew mixed reactions from across the web. Before this weekend, I had never heard of the Omacon Foundation or paid much attention to DHH, the developer of Omarchy Quattro and Ruby on Rails. I had heard of Omarchy and I did try this distro around eight months ago. I didn’t take to it then and uninstalled it almost immediately.
When news hit my feeds about Omarchy Quattro and the investment into the Omacon Foundation. I thought I’d jump back into the distro to see what the fuss was all about. DHH was all over my X feed all weekend, and he has a convincing argument for his project. So here are my initial thoughts and observations in this short and very different review of Omarchy Quattro.
