SECO has added two compact industrial platforms based on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-2390 processor: the Compact Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390, a 5-inch panel-mounted HMI, and the SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390, a 47 × 114mm single-board computer for custom embedded systems. Both platforms support on-device AI, industrial connectivity and SECO’s Yocto Linux-based Clea OS.
Clicks is preparing the Communicator, a compact Android smartphone built around a physical keyboard and a 4.03-inch AMOLED touchscreen. The device uses MediaTek’s 4nm Dimensity 8300 platform, includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and is designed to operate either as a standalone phone or alongside another smartphone.
think that based on my records, I started my Ph.D. on “Tuesday 23rd September, 2003″ or maybe that was just my first meeting (21st September was likely my first day). The Garuda Nix Subsystem has been around for some time as an add-on for Garuda Linux installations, allowing you to dual-boot with a NixOS installation living in the same partition via a subvolume. The subsystem has now been rebranded to Garuda Nix and can be used directly from a Garuda Linux live system.
Coming four months after MX Linux 25.2, the MX Linux 25.3 release is based on the latest Debian 13.7 “Trixie” operating system release and features the long-term supported Linux 6.12 LTS kernel on the standard ISOs, while a Liquorix-flavored Linux 7.2 kernel is now used on the Xfce AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) ISO.
Coming two months after Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-15, the Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-37 release bumps the kernel from Linux 7.0 to Linux 7.1 for better hardware support, and updates the underlying GNU/Linux operating system to the latest packages from the Debian Sid repository as of September 13th, 2026.
GNU/Linux in Switzerland was measured at about 5% last month and now it's around 7%. Why? Hard to guess. Maybe data anomalies, maybe genuine change.
Europe in general is moving that way. █
