Futuristic FPS Interstellar Marines is still alive with Update 28 to feature a new enemy
Interstellar Marines used to be one of the most promising first-person shooters which sadly died due to a lack of funding. It's limping along, with a new video to show off a new enemy.

Voxel Turf, the block-based urban sandbox game adds in a Light Plane, Airfields and more
I have to admit, I've had a silly amount of fun in Voxel Turf. A game that combines the block-building that made Minecraft popular with vehicles, buildings, gang wars and all sorts.
The latest update is a pretty big one adding in a Light Plane, a Commercial Airfield along with a version for bandits, Steam Workshop support for maps, a massive map that covers the world which you can grab from the Steam Workshop to play, the ability to generate in-game maps from bitmaps and more.

The survival roguelike 'Wayward' recently added some interesting new ways to play
Wayward is a name I honestly hadn't heard for some time, after following it years ago I lost track. Development seems to be going well!
For those who've not heard of it before, it's a (deep breath) "challenging turn-based, top-down, wilderness survival roguelike".
With a recent update, the developers focused on making it more interesting to play through more than a few times. They've introduced two new game modes to help with this. The first, is "Custom Mode" allowing you to tweak all sorts of things to your liking. The second, is the difficult Challenge Mode which adds in random modifiers aimed at quick games.

The big update to Dead Cells is out offering custom game modes and more
Dead Cells, the seriously good action-platformer 'RogueVania' had a huge update pushed out recently making it ever more awesome. Now our little break is over, I've sat down with it for a little while longer and came away impressed with the update.
The Custom Game feature is very interesting and by far the biggest feature in the update. This allows you to tweak a lot of different things in the game, to really play it how you want. Choose your starting gear, load the same seed as a friend, unlock all sorts of mutations and so on. They don't give you the keys to the kingdom easily though, you do need to progress a little in the game first to unlock it. As I understand it, you need to defeat a boss named Hand of the King to get access. Not that I've gotten even close to doing so mind you, it's a real challenge.
