TLPUI - GTK interface for configuring TLP
TLPUI is a GTK interface for configuring TLP. It provides a graphical alternative to editing TLP’s configuration files by hand and is intended to make the large number of available power-management settings easier to understand and change.
The application reads the active TLP configuration and presents recognised values through its interface. It also distinguishes between defaults, unsaved changes and values supplied by user or drop-in configuration, helping users see where a setting originates before they alter it. TLPUI remains a frontend to TLP rather than a separate power-management engine.

PicoDAV - lightweight PHP WebDAV server
The software also provides a web-based file manager, allowing everyday file operations from a browser. Its relatively small scope is intended for straightforward access to files rather than the wider groupware and document collaboration features of a full cloud platform.
PicoDAV is particularly useful on conventional web hosting where users want an alternative to transferring files through FTP. It can be used with desktop file managers and other applications that understand WebDAV. Unlike more elaborate WebDAV servers, it does not implement resource locking.

CrossPaste - cross-device clipboard sharing with encryption and local storage
CrossPaste is a cross-platform clipboard manager that lets you copy content on one device and paste it on another. It supports Linux, macOS and Windows.
The software handles text, colours, URLs, HTML, RTF, images and files. Devices communicate over the local network using a serverless architecture, with clipboard data stored locally.
CrossPaste also provides end-to-end encryption, clipboard history, local OCR for extracting text from images, automatic storage management, and a browser extension.

wluma - automatic screen brightness adjustment for Wayland
The application learns the user’s preferences from changes made to screen brightness in different conditions. It can subsequently predict suitable settings for a bright desktop, a dark terminal or changing room illumination, with individual control over connected displays.

Door Knocker - check xdg-desktop-portal availability
Portals provide standard desktop interfaces for operations such as opening files, capturing screens, accessing devices and interacting with other desktop services. Problems with a portal backend can therefore surface as application features that unexpectedly fail. Door Knocker provides a straightforward way to inspect the available interfaces without manually querying D-Bus or studying service logs.

AegisBPF - eBPF runtime security and policy enforcement agent
The software separates policy management and event processing in userspace from enforcement logic running inside the kernel. It targets individual Linux hosts and Kubernetes workloads, allowing administrators to apply security restrictions to specific processes and applications.
AegisBPF provides facilities for auditing system activity, investigating security events and managing enforcement policies. Its effectiveness depends on the host’s kernel configuration and available security capabilities.

10 Best Free and Open Source Terminal Log Viewers
The traditional approach is to use commands such as cat, tail, less, and grep. These remain useful, but dedicated terminal log viewers offer a more convenient way to explore the information. Depending on the utility, you can follow new entries as they arrive, search and filter messages, highlight important events, or examine several sources at once.
These tools are useful for system administrators keeping an eye on servers, developers tracking down bugs, and anyone troubleshooting Linux problems. They’re particularly handy when working over SSH, where a graphical application may not be available or desirable.
Here’s our verdict captured in a legendary LinuxLinks-style ratings chart. Only free and open source software is eligible for inclusion here.
RyzenAdj - adjust power management settings for Ryzen APUs
On Linux, RyzenAdj requires elevated privileges to reach the relevant hardware interfaces. It can use the ryzen_smu kernel module and can fall back to direct memory access where that route is available. Settings are applied through command-line arguments, which also makes the utility suitable for shell scripts and other automation.

FET - automatic timetable generator for schools and universities
The software works with information about teachers, students, subjects, activities, rooms and buildings. Users can define the structure of their institution and specify rules governing when and where individual activities may take place.
FET is particularly useful where timetable preparation involves competing requirements. It can account for teacher availability, classroom assignments, lesson distribution and restrictions on consecutive teaching periods.
Although designed primarily for educational establishments, its flexible scheduling system can also be adapted to other timetabling problems.

Emacs Kick - starter Emacs configuration for Vim and Neovim users
It is positioned as a starting point rather than a complete Emacs distribution. Users can keep the supplied configuration, strip it down or use it as the foundation for a more personalised setup. Terminal use is treated as a first-class workflow, which makes the project especially approachable for users accustomed to editors running inside tmux or Zellij.

MyDumper - parallel MySQL backup and restore tools
MyDumper is a pair of command-line utilities for fast logical backup and restoration of MySQL-compatible databases. MyDumper performs the export side of the operation, while MyLoader reconstructs the databases from the generated dump.
The project is designed around parallelism. Large databases and tables can be split into independent chunks and processed by multiple worker threads, avoiding the single-threaded bottleneck associated with simpler logical dump tools. This makes it particularly useful when backup windows are short or restoration speed is an important part of disaster-recovery planning.
