We Don't Need Search Engines and Social Control Media
For many people it's just natural to visit us and we have RSS feeds
Social Control Media is not a replacement for media and search engines are fast becoming slop plagiarism disguised as "search" (wherein the search phrase is treated like a "prompt" for an LLM).
Thankfully we aren't impacted by this. After 22+ years we're not in any way reliant on mindless drones and lemmings in Social Control Media. Nor do we rely on "SEO" or positioning ourselves as "highly-ranked" in some Google or Yandex or whatever.
The Web used to be accessed and navigated through Web directories, bookmarks, and all sorts of other means. Over time many people became lazy; they would just "google everything" and rely on Google still being: 1) a useful search engine and 2) a search engine (which is no longer what it is).
If you have a site online, don't be seduced into building any "following" in Social Control Media. Those things are volatile and unpredictable. █
