It's Global Warming, Stupid, Not Just Irresponsible Zoos
Zoos are not a place for animals. Zoos are vanity facilities for people to treat animals like exhibits, objects, to make up for guilt associated with deforestation, overpopulation, hoarding, and self-centered ambitions of expansion.
There are reports like this about "Zoo Animals [in Japan that] Are Dropping Dead" and it overlooks the facts that 1) the animals should not be there in the first place (lions don't belong somewhere like Japan in something as small as a cage) and 2) the issue of Japan getting this hot is related to over-industrialisation, including the data centre fetishes.
This is a man-made problem, an avoidable problem. █
