Don Hopkins has been maintaining FOSS ports of SimCity (1989) as Micropolis and MicropolisCore, faithfully reproducing the ruleset of the original. Using the Python shims provided by gym-city I have run many experiments and share these results here, presenting five high-scoring and five high-population cities, designed algorithmically using the strategies shared below.

Garry's Mod Successor 's&box' is now in Beta on Linux
Currently, it's only available via the s&box GitHub page, seemingly as a way to keep it in the hands of those knowledgeable enough to deal with bugs and potential crashes, with Facepunch (the developers) stating that once they feel it's stable enough, they will release it onto Steam for all Linux users to enjoy.
