wolfSSL has detailed several embedded security updates covering deterministic networking, post-quantum cryptography and automotive hardware security. The updates include the wolfIP TCP/IP stack, NIST-validated post-quantum algorithms in wolfCrypt, native Falcon and FrodoKEM implementations, and wolfHSM support for Infineon’s AURIX TC4xx family.
OnLogic has added two SoftPLC-oriented industrial computers built around Intel Core Ultra processors and pre-configured CODESYS environments. The Helix 521-PLC targets low-profile deployments, while the larger Helix 524-PLC adds PCIe expansion with an available Hilscher netX fieldbus interface for industrial networking and real-time control applications.
MINIX has listed the N304-AI, a compact mini PC based on Intel’s Core 3 304 processor with integrated Intel Graphics and an Intel AI Boost NPU. The system provides 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, dual M.2 NVMe storage, dual Gigabit Ethernet and triple 4K display support.

think it was in May of this year (early or mid May) that we ‘branched out’ the fish tank to another one, a shells-dedicated tank. It has since then expanded to a much bigger tank, which I found discounted by about 96% (lower than RRP), it just needed a lot of cleaning and sanitising. Today, two weeks after we added some danios and testas, we can easily see they have grown and have become accustomed to their new environment. We initially had a couple of cardinals, but they could not survive the conditions, I’m not sure why (maybe pH level, but probably something else; size could be a factor, they are very fine). Unlike last year, no fish just mysteriously ‘vanished’.

think that based on my records, I started my Ph.D. on “Tuesday 23rd September, 2003″ or maybe that was just my first meeting (21st September was likely my first day). Coming almost ten months after VLC 3.0.23, the VLC 3.0.24 release is a major update in the VLC 3.0 series that introduces FFmpeg 8.1 support, support for the APV decoder, support for Atrac3/Atrac9 decoding, support for CEA-708 closed captions in MP4, and SRT listener mode support.
Firefox 156.0.1 is here only a week after Firefox 156 to fix an issue that caused the web browser to become unresponsive on some web pages that use CSS anchor positioning and to fix a bug causing elements inside a link to not show their CSS :active styles while being clicked.
Coming more than three months after Giada 1.5, the Giada 1.6 release introduces elastic (time-stretching) playback mode for sample channels, allowing tempo and pitch to be changed independently, and switches to a more efficient memory layout to improve audio buffer performance and internal data handling.
Flatpak 1.18.3 comes a month after Flatpak 1.18.2, which fixed a crash in the system helper that occurred when iterating cache directories, a portal bug causing it to pass the wrong file descriptor when sandbox-expose-fd-ro triggers fd remapping collision, and a system helper issue causing it to track the wrong D-Bus sender for pulls.
September’s snapshots for openSUSE Tumbleweed ARM bumped the kernel to Linux 7.2.5, the GNU C Library (Glibc) to version 2.44 with its large AArch64 push, the QEMU virtualization suite to version 11.1.1, the GIMP image editor to version 3.2.6 with AArch64-specific fixes, and the Shotwell image organizer to version 33.0 with its GTK4 port.
Highlights of GNU Wget 2.3 include support for converting CSS files with the --convert-links argument, support for iframe srcdoc and the data-src and data-srcset HTML tags, new --progress=dot argument, support for printing headers without downloading via the --spider (-S) argument, and support for Content-Length: 0 to POST, PUT, and PATCH requests per RFC 9110.

The Garuda Nix Subsystem has been around for some time as an add-on for Garuda Linux installations, allowing you to dual-boot with a NixOS installation living in the same partition via a subvolume. The subsystem has now been rebranded to Garuda Nix and can be used directly from a Garuda Linux live system.
Coming four months after MX Linux 25.2, the MX Linux 25.3 release is based on the latest Debian 13.7 “Trixie” operating system release and features the long-term supported Linux 6.12 LTS kernel on the standard ISOs, while a Liquorix-flavored Linux 7.2 kernel is now used on the Xfce AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) ISO.
