This is the second compilation of our Ubuntu 24.04 Noble Numbat tutorials which have been published here at The Ubuntu Buzz since 2024. In last compilation, we talked about downloading Ubuntu up to selecting our repository server among others. In this episode, we will remind you about CHM ebooks, AppImages, Telegram Desktop as well as the classic but powerful Synaptic Package Manager with a short review for each. The Raspberry Pi 500+ is based on the Raspberry Pi 5 platform and features a 2.4GHz quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 CPU with 512KB per-core L2 cache and a shared 2MB L3 cache.
The board integrates an Agilex 5 FPGA fabric with 138K logic elements together with a dual-cluster hard processor system that combines two Cortex-A76 and two Cortex-A55 cores. This arrangement supports both reconfigurable hardware design and software execution in a single device.
The Raspberry Pi 500+ is the successor of the Raspberry Pi 500 computer, based on the Raspberry Pi 5 16GB model and featuring a high-quality mechanical keyboard with removable keycaps and individually addressable RGB LEDs, as well as an internal M.2 socket equipped with a 256GB Raspberry Pi SSD.
Coming almost three months after Ubuntu Touch OTA-9, the Ubuntu Touch OTA-10 release introduces support for the Rabbit R1 device and the new Ubuntu Touch upgrader, which allows users to upgrade to the long-anticipated Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 release, based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, once it’s released.
Highlights of Calibre 8.11 include a new “Ask AI” tab in the dictionary lookup panel that allows you to query AI about the currently selected text. The feature supports hundreds of AI models via free providers like Google, OpenRouter, GitHub, or locally via Ollama.
