LWN ☛ Aqualung 2.0 released
Version 2.0 of the Aqualung gapless music player has been released. Aqualung supports playback of a wide range of audio formats, ripping CDs to WAV, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, or MP3, and subscribing to podcasts via RSS or Atom feeds. The primary change in this release is the migration from GTK2 to GTK3, and dropping support for custom skins as a result.

I posted about buying a NVME SSD (Crucial E100 480GB), in a USB3 caddy, early February:
The purpose of this purchase was for testing TRIM support.
Yesterday, decided to test writing the EasyOS .img file to it, to test that it will boot OK. I didn't expect any problem, as I have other SSDs in USB caddies and they boot OK -- but, they are SATA drives.

IBM has agreed to buy DataStax, a provider of managed and cloud-hosted Apache Cassandra database and Pulsar data streaming services.
Principal technical strategist at DataStax Patrick McFadin said the deal “signals a strategic bet on the future of Cassandra” (an open-source NoSQL database deployed by the likes of Apple and Netflix.)
