Over the last few weeks, for various personal reasons, I have been doing a lot of reading about embedded operating systems and ISAs for embedded computing. Things like the NXP TriMedia (Harvard architecture!) and pSOS+ (ran on TriMedia!). As tends to happen, I kept coming across references to a device that stuck in my memory: the TacNet Tracker. It prominently features on Wikipedia's list of applications for the popular VxWorks real-time operating system.
