September’s snapshots for openSUSE Tumbleweed ARM bumped the kernel to Linux 7.2.5, the GNU C Library (Glibc) to version 2.44 with its large AArch64 push, the QEMU virtualization suite to version 11.1.1, the GIMP image editor to version 3.2.6 with AArch64-specific fixes, and the Shotwell image organizer to version 33.0 with its GTK4 port.
Highlights of GNU Wget 2.3 include support for converting CSS files with the --convert-links argument, support for iframe srcdoc and the data-src and data-srcset HTML tags, new --progress=dot argument, support for printing headers without downloading via the --spider (-S) argument, and support for Content-Length: 0 to POST, PUT, and PATCH requests per RFC 9110.

The Garuda Nix Subsystem has been around for some time as an add-on for Garuda Linux installations, allowing you to dual-boot with a NixOS installation living in the same partition via a subvolume. The subsystem has now been rebranded to Garuda Nix and can be used directly from a Garuda Linux live system.
Coming four months after MX Linux 25.2, the MX Linux 25.3 release is based on the latest Debian 13.7 “Trixie” operating system release and features the long-term supported Linux 6.12 LTS kernel on the standard ISOs, while a Liquorix-flavored Linux 7.2 kernel is now used on the Xfce AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) ISO.
Coming two months after Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-15, the Clonezilla Live 3.3.3-37 release bumps the kernel from Linux 7.0 to Linux 7.1 for better hardware support, and updates the underlying GNU/Linux operating system to the latest packages from the Debian Sid repository as of September 13th, 2026.

think that based on my records, I started my Ph.D. on “Tuesday 23rd September, 2003″ or maybe that was just my first meeting (21st September was likely my first day). SECO has added two compact industrial platforms based on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-2390 processor: the Compact Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390, a 5-inch panel-mounted HMI, and the SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390, a 47 × 114mm single-board computer for custom embedded systems. Both platforms support on-device AI, industrial connectivity and SECO’s Yocto Linux-based Clea OS.
Clicks is preparing the Communicator, a compact Android smartphone built around a physical keyboard and a 4.03-inch AMOLED touchscreen. The device uses MediaTek’s 4nm Dimensity 8300 platform, includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and is designed to operate either as a standalone phone or alongside another smartphone.

"Burkina" and "Faso" don't typically rhyme or sound a bell in anybody's mind because of the country's age and history, but Burkina Faso is a massive country (half the size of France) and a lot of GNU/Linux is detected there. A few years ago it was close to 0%. █
