Happy New Year 2021! New board updates
When we got back in office we had expected news: The couriers raised their prices with almost 50% due to the extra efforts around the new UK regulations, but this was just the beginning.
From January 1st 2021 all shipments to UK with value under GBP 135 must be with included charged VAT. For this purpose all online shops which ships to UK must register for UK customs EORI and UK VAT-ID. They have to charge the VAT at the time of shipping and to pay to UK government all collected VAT at the end of the month. The shipments above GBP 135 are shipped with export declaration and without VAT as for any other countries outside EU.

Uploaded aarch64 packages compiled in OE
I previously reported compiling the source packages optimized for the rpi4 CPU, with the TUNE_FEATURES variable set to "aarch64 cortexa72 crc crypto":
https://bkhome.org/news/202101/oe-compile-for-raspberry-pi-4.html
However, would prefer the packages to be more generic, to run on other aarch64 systems, including the rpi3 and Rock64. So changed OE to compile for a "qemuarm64" machine, which sets TUNE_FEATURES to "aarch64 armv8a crc". This runs gcc with "-march=armv8-a+crc".

Matthias Runge: Kubernetes on Raspberry Pi 4 on Fedora
Recently, I bought a couple of Raspberry Pi 4, one with 4 GB and 2 equipped with 8 GB of RAM. When I bought the first one, there was no option to get bigger memory. However, I saw this as a game and thought to give this a try. I also bought SSDs for these and USB3 to SATA adapters. Before purchasing anything, you may want to take a look at James Archers page. Unfortunately, there are a couple on adapters on the marked, which don't work that well.
