KDE Plasma 6.4.5 Fixes Brightness Flickering Issues with AMD GPU Drivers

Coming a little over a month after KDE Plasma 6.4.4, the KDE Plasma 6.4.5 release adds a workaround for brightness flickering issues with the AMD GPU graphics drivers when changing GAMMA_LUT often. The workaround can be disabled by setting the KWIN_DRM_DISABLE_AMD_GAMMA_WORKAROUND variable to 1.

Kodi 22 “Piers” Promises HDR Passthrough on OpenGL and HDR on Wayland

KDE Plasma 6.4.4 Desktop Environment Improves Notifications, Flatpak Support

Coming three weeks after KDE Plasma 6.4.3, the KDE Plasma 6.4.4 release changes the behavior of notifications marked as “low priority” or that have been manually configured to show up in the history to selectively ignore that behavior and show up in the history when they arrive if Do Not Disturb mode is enabled.

The Plasma Discover package manager has been improved in this release to fix a bug that caused the application to get confused about which version of a Flatpak app was considered unstable or outdated when there are multiple Flatpak remotes set up in your Linux system.
