The Tux Machines Software Stack
Alex (Alexandre) Oliva from the Free Software Foundation has a new Web site and he has just published this list of his site's components: "For now, it runs mainly Trisquel GNU/Linux-libre, Apache HTTPD, Ikiwiki, and snac2."
We'll soon turn 21 and it has been years since we last spoke about what runs this site.
Maybe that's a good opportunity to say what runs the new (since 2022) Tux Machines. We use Perl with our own custom software (SSG) and along with nano (the editor), OpenSSH, AppArmor, Apache, GNU/Linux (Debian), Git, and agate (for Gemini). That's it in a nutshell. We keep it quite simple so that the site is fast and downtime/incidents remain minimal. █
