Speed, Not Complexity, is What Visitors Need
2 years ago we left Drupal, which is bloatware like WordPress [1, 2]. Old Drupal pages had been converted to static and we pulled the plug on Drupal (entirely) 14 months ago.
The site is now a lot faster and it does not slow down as a function of its size. The database of new pages is being populated but not accessed by site visitors, to whom only static pages are accessible.
Recently we had some network maintenance and we hope that some visitor can experience speed gains.
An added benefit or bonus is, this site is now far more environment-friendly. The cost of transmitting pages is very low. It does not generate much heat, nor does the process consume much energy. █
