Deepin becomes the first Linux distro to integrate AI features for Photos and IDE
Deepin is a mysteriously beautiful distribution.
Sure, we are all waiting for the time when they make Deepin 23 available as a stable release.
Until then, we hold on to our anticipation 😔
But, wait, there's something interesting in the works, and I think, this would make it worth the wait...
AI features coming to Deepin Linux. You can access it now (deepin V20.9 and above), with an existing installation. However, it should make the future release experience more exciting.
So, what about it? Let me tell you more here.

Deepin Linux AI features challenge Windows Copilot with programming assistant and AI photo editing
Deepin Linux is a Debian-based Linux distribution known for its devilish good looks and user-friendliness. Now, trying to reach the cutting edge of the latest operating system trends, the developers of Deepin Linux announced that they have started integrating AI features into the desktop environment and its accompanying apps.
While Deepin Linux previously teased UOS AI, which appears to be an interface to access other LLMs and AI models to help users manage mail, browse the web, and do generative AI tasks, the newly-integrated AI features are much less ambitious. The AI integration comes in two flavours — an AI coding assistant and an AI-powered image editor plugin.

Two AI features Introduced in Deepin Linux 23 Beta 2 Release
The team behind Deepin had already teased UOS AI (a tool to interface with different AI tools), which could help users more easily manage all kinds of processes (as well as generative AI work), but it seems they've opted to tone down the AI integration and offer only two different options: an AI coding assistant, and an image-editing plugin.
According to the Deepin X account, the image option is available from the Deepin App Store and makes it possible to add background blur/removal, upscaling, colorizing, resolution upgrading, turn your images into hand-drawn or 3D comics, and more.
