Bodhi Linux 7.0 Released with Linux Kernel 6.4, Based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Bodhi Linux 7.0 comes more than 2 years after Bodhi Linux 6.0 and introduces a new flavor called “s76” that features a more recent kernel, namely Linux 6.4, packaged by System76 for those who want cutting-edge performance.
The standard ISO image is powered by the long-term supported Linux 5.15 LTS kernel series for those looking for stability. Both ISOs are based on the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) operating system series with support for Ubuntu backports in the sources list. This major release also enables kernel updates by default.

Bodhi Linux 7.0 Released with New Theme & Linux Kernels
Bodhi Linux 7.0 is based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and uses the Enlightenment-based desktop and Moksha window manager by default. The distro is notable for running deftly on devices with limited resources (though there’s no reason you can’t or shouldn’t run it on high-end devices too).
I took a look at the Bodhi Linux 7.0 beta back in May and liked what I saw. Since then the distro’s devs have updated the s76 ISO to use Linux kernel 6.4 and the HWE ISO to use Linux kernel 6.2, brought in a yet-newer version of slick-greeter, and continued fixing up bugs and adding polish.

Bodhi 7.0 Releases Based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS With Desktop Enhancements
Bodhi Linux is a popular lightweight distro that features the Moksha desktop environment, which provides a unique user experience.
The last major release was Bodhi Linux 6.0, which came more than two years back with impressive improvements.
Bodhi Linux 7.0 has been on the roadmap for a while, but the development was stalled because the creator had some health issues. Hoping that the developer is doing better now; Let us look at the next upgrade.

Bodhi Linux 7.0 Released With Four ISO Images
Bodhi Linux has a new release — version 7.0.
That’s what we heard on Monday from Robert Wiley, who’s been the lead developer for the minimalist Debian-based Linux distribution since the project’s founder, Jeff Hoogland, left in 2019, evidently to become a fulltime video streamer on Twitch.tv.
In the headline to Wiley’s notice, he calls Bodhi’s latest and greatest “a landmark release,” and in the opening sentence he says the release is “a momentous step forward.” That’s a lot of superlatives for a distro who’s purpose is to be minimalistic.

Bodhi Linux 7 brings Enlightenment to Ubuntu
Bodhi Linux 7.0 is the latest release of one of the oldest Ubuntu-based distros, with one of the more unusual desktops.
The latest version is based on Ubuntu 22.04, with the Moksha desktop, which is a fork of Enlightenment 17. There's a choice of four editions: three 64-bit ones, and a 32-bit edition which is still based on Ubuntu 18.04, the last Ubuntu LTS which supported x86-32. The 64-bit editions differ chiefly in the kernel they use. You can have either the basic Ubuntu "Jammy" 5.15, or the current HWE version with kernel 6.2, or for those with shiny, very new kit, an "s76" edition with the latest kernel 6.4.

Bodhi Linux 7.0 is its best, most user-friendly release yet
Bodhi Linux has been a long-time favorite operating system of mine. This is partially due to it having a desktop based on Enlightenment, but also because the development team has always delivered a rock-solid system that's as fun as it is easy to use. And although the changes to 7.0 are sometimes subtle, they come together to make this the best release yet.
For those who don't know, Bodhi Linux is an open-source operating system that is based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of Ubuntu Linux, which in this case means Ubuntu 22.04. Bodhi Linux has held true to a philosophy of desktop minimalism combined with high customization. And, once again, the developers have delivered on that idea -- only this time giving users an even more seamless experience.
