Nitrux 2.5 Is Here as One of the First Distros Powered by Linux 6.0 and KDE Plasma 5.26
The monthly Nitrux ISO releases continue, and Nitrux 2.5 is here as the first release of the systemd-free distribution to ship with the latest and greatest Linux 6.0 kernel series by default. The very latest Linux kernel 6.0.6 kernel is included by default in the distribution in a XanMod flavor.
This is also the first ISO release of Nitrux to ship with the latest and greatest KDE Plasma 5.26 desktop environment series. More specifically, the very latest KDE Plasma 5.26.2 point release is included by default, which is accompanied by the latest KDE Gear 22.08.2 and KDE Frameworks 5.99 software suites for the best possible KDE Plasma desktop experience you can get.

Nitrux 2.5 Released with Kernel 6.0 and KDE Pla... - Linux Magazine
Nitrux 2.5 has been officially released and is the first systemd-free distribution to include both kernel 6.0 and KDE Plasma 5.26.
Nitrux is a Linux distribution, based on Debian, that emphasizes the use of AppImages for end-user software. And, instead of employing systemd as its init system, Nitrux uses OpenRC.
To make things even more interesting, Nitrux adds a suite of convergent applications – called Maui Apps – as well as a curated collection of free and open source software.
More importantly, however, Nitrux 2.5 is now available and is the first non-systemd distribution to include both kernel 6.0 and KDE Plasma 5.26. To be specific, Nitrux uses the 6.0.6 XanMod kernel, KDE Plasma 5.26.2, KDE Frameworks 5.99.0, and KDE Gear 22.08.2.
As well, the developers decided to change their policy about including the Nvidia proprietary driver with the default installation.

Nitrux 2.5: The latest update to a radical Linux • The Register
Nitrux OS is one of the most stylish and innovative distros we've seen so far: systemd-free, based on AppImages, and with a very unusual desktop.
Nitrux OS version 2.5 is the latest version of this innovative distro, led by Uri Herrera from Coacalco on the outskirts of Mexico City. It's nominally based on Debian and KDE, but it doesn't look or feel like any other KDE OS, or work much like any other Debian either. It doesn't use systemd, replacing it with OpenRC, as used in the minimal Alpine Linux distro.
It uses the vendor-neutral AppImage packaging format, and mostly uses its own independently developed applications. Even so, it's bang up to date: version 2.5 has the latest Linux kernel 6.0, and uses tech from KDE 5.26.
