Free and Open Source Software, and Benchmark

Chevereto - self-hosted image and video hosting platform
The software can power anything from a private photography archive to a public image-sharing community. Its interface combines media browsing, albums and user profiles with administrative controls for managing uploaded content and configuring the website.
Chevereto offers an alternative to relying on third-party image hosting providers. Administrators retain control over stored media, user access and the policies governing their hosting service.

Phase - collaborative application secrets management
The software brings secrets management into the application development workflow. Teams can maintain separate configurations for development, testing and production while sharing credentials through controlled access rather than exchanging configuration files containing sensitive values.
Phase can be self-hosted, giving organisations control over their secrets management infrastructure. Its web console provides a visual interface for managing applications and environments, while companion tools allow credentials to be accessed during local development and automated deployment.

mypython - Interactive Python Shell
mypython is particularly useful for experimenting with Python expressions, investigating objects, testing small sections of code and diagnosing errors without switching to a full development environment.

PMW - high-quality music typesetting program
Unlike graphical notation editors, PMW separates the creation of musical content from its visual presentation. Input files can be prepared in any text editor, making the program particularly suitable for users who prefer precise, reproducible control over how their music is engraved.
PMW caters for complex orchestral, instrumental and vocal scores. Its extensive notation facilities and flexible formatting controls make it useful for composers, arrangers and music publishers preparing professional-looking sheet music.

BOSGAME VTA-439 Mini PC Running Linux: World War Z
I’ve been putting the BOSGAME VTA-439 through a series of gaming tests to see how far its Radeon 890M integrated graphics can go under Linux. Some games demand considerable compromises in graphical quality, while others run surprisingly well at 1920×1080.
The VTA-439 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a 12-core processor combining Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores. Its Radeon 890M uses shared system memory rather than dedicated video memory, making it interesting to see how it performs in games originally developed with more powerful graphics hardware in mind.
ChronoFrame - self-hosted personal photo gallery
ChronoFrame places particular emphasis on photographic metadata and visual presentation. It supports large images, displays information extracted from camera files and provides geographical browsing for photographs containing location data.

Secrets Store CSI Driver - mount external secrets in Kubernetes pods
The software uses the Container Storage Interface (CSI) to expose sensitive information as files within containers. Applications can therefore consume credentials without requiring them to be stored as conventional Kubernetes Secret objects.
Unlike operators that primarily synchronise external credentials into Kubernetes Secrets, Secrets Store CSI Driver focuses on making externally managed information available directly to running workloads. It supports several providers and allows administrators to control how secrets are retrieved and presented.
