Sacha Chua ☛ subed.el and quoting snippets of YouTube videos from the auto captions
Now I can use M-x sacha-subed-youtube to open the VTT file, which is cached locally, and I can use M-x sacha-subed-youtube-region-as-quote after selecting a section. Well, actually, I have an Embark command s (for "subed") that I can run on a YouTube video link and a selected-mode shortcut for y that I can run when the region is selected. Results: [...]

Eric MacAdie ☛ Emacs Carnival: Are keyboards and M-x here to stay? – MacAdie Web Blog
As for myself, even if voice interface catches on in the wider world, I have no desire to use it. I hope that I am never forced to use it.
I do not like dealing with voice interface when I call customer service. Sometimes the system does not understand me. I am a college-educated white man from the Midwest. I should be the easiest person for these systems to understand.

Sacha Chua ☛ Analyzing Emacs News: 564 posts over 11 years, > 34k items, ~60/post
While summarizing my history with Emacs, I was curious about just how many Emacs News posts I've written and how many links I've highlighted. 564 posts, > 34000 items, an average of 60 items per posts.
Analysis: It turned out that my emacs-news/index.org only went back to about 2016, missing a few months of 2015. To fill in the data, I needed to convert the old HTML files into Org format.

Kieran Healy ☛ Dogs of New York, Shapes and Sizes Edition

Is there a size gradient perhaps? Larger dogs out on the periphery where there is more room? Smaller dogs in the dense apartment neighborhoods?

Evan Czaplicki ☛ Why is it so expensive to send an email?
But to deliver to all different email addresses, you need to be trusted by inbox providers with the oldest and goofiest spam filters. Since some inboxes seem to really care about IP address blocks, this means you probably need to get your own IP address block. And from there, you need to send a pretty high volume of emails through it per day.
