Speaking of OIDC, I searched in my drawer and found all three security keys I own again. A YubiKey 5C NFC with firmware 5.4.3 (apparently not so secure anymore and not upgradable) and two SoloKeys Solo 2 (one USB-A and one USB-C, both with NFC) I funded via Indiegogo many years ago. Those have upgradable firmware, so I managed to do that with the accompanying CLI.

Hat & Hammer has launched a Crowd Supply campaign for OpenMote, a programmable universal remote built around an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module. The device supports infrared transmission and reception, Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi, motion sensing, audio, haptic feedback, and Qwiic/STEMMA QT expansion, while also targeting smart-home and game-controller applications.

CNX Software ☛ Raspberry Pi 5 gets dual GMSL2 Camera HAT based on MAX96716A deserializer
BE-IIS (Brechel Electronic-Industrial Interface Systems) has released a dual GMSL2 Camera HAT for the Raspberry Pi 5. The board is based on the MAX96716A GMSL2 deserializer and connects two remote GMSL2 cameras through the Pi’s CSI-2 interfaces. The solution has been validated in a dual-camera setup that operates at 2304 × 1296, RAW10, with two CSI-2 lanes per camera using the same Sony IMX708 12MP camera sensors found in the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3. Besides low latency, one advantage of GMSL2 is long-range operation, and the HAT has been tested with two cameras connected over 10-meter coaxial cables.

The camera uses a manual Sony E-mount and supports various lens options through adapters, including C-mount, M-mount, M42, Nikon F, Pentax K, Canon FD, and Leica M.
