Void Linux Will Appeal to More Users by Banning Slop
Yesterday: A Void Linux maintainer orphaned over 100 packages because of an AI usage ban
More users and developers, e.g. some Debian Developers who rightly detest LLM slop (waste of time, low quality), will probably look up "Void Linux" like many of them who moved to Arch Linux or the "Arch camp".
Not too long ago IBM's (or Fedora's) Flathub got fed up with slop and began banning it in spite of IBM being a slop pusher that forces Red Hat staff to use slop for blog posts, code, and more. Slop is a destructive bubble and those who reject it will rightly be viewed as virtuous, not Luddites.
If you are not a "believer" in slop, don't worry. You're not "left behind", you just refuse to participate in a giant scam. █
