Ten days after Ruby on Rails creator David Heinemeier Hansson incorporated the Omacom Foundation with an $8 million pledge from eight tech-industry heavyweights, the nonprofit has added its first two corporate sponsors — password manager 1Password and software company 37signals — and brought total commitments to $12.6 million across fourteen patron agreements. The additions, announced today on August 31, also include two new individual patrons identified only as Brian and Yunjie, each pledging $1 million.
