Between 2026-08-19 and 2026-08-26 there were 131 New Steam games released with Native GNU/Linux builds. For reference, during the same time, there were 1051 games released for backdoored Windows on Steam, so the GNU/Linux versions represent about 12.5 % of total released titles. It’s worth checking T.W.I.R.L., an ASCII-art bullet-hell roguelike where your android companion carries persistent injury and trauma between runs. As much as I want to say that Linux is perfect in every single way, the truth is, it isn't. Some companies handle their driver updates via a bespoke app, and getting that same app onto Linux may not be ideal. Fortunately, perhaps inspired by the number of people moving to Linux to game, 8BitDo has fixed the issue with its own controller drivers with a website that lets you download your drivers.
