CNX Software ☛ $60+ Nordic Semi nRF93M1 Development Kit (DK) targets LTE Cat 1 bis IoT applications
Nordic Semiconductor has launched the nRF93M1 DK (Development Kit) based on the nRF93M1-LABA LTE Cat 1 bis with Wi-Fi and cellular location and a Nordic Semi nRF54L15 host microcontroller. The nRF93M1 module was first introduced at Embedded World 2026 last March, and the company has now announced general availability of the nRF93M1-LABA smart modem module for Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and sampling of the nRF93M1-LACA module for global markets, scheduled to become available in Q3 2026. The announcement also covers the launch of the nRF93M1 Development Kit, which was teased last March with limited details.

Impressive as it most certainly is when an amateur fabricates a semiconductor, most of the projects we’ve seen are more demonstrations than workable chips. [Dr. Semiconductor], however, is going much further with his fabrication process, and is already working on a method to bond chips to printed circuit boards. It’s difficult to align a PCB with the pads on the underside of an opaque silicon wafer, however, so as a trial run he’s made and bonded some transparent LED chips.

After previously putting a very basic version of Minecraft on the Game Boy Color, [Tobi] decided to have some fun and port that version also to the Super Nintendo (SNES), just to see what would happen with its more powerful hardware. Even without using an add-on chip like the Super FX 3D chip that made games like Star Fox and Doom possible with its 3D-rendered geometry, the basic SNES hardware can already provide a serviceable Minecraft experience.

After successfully launching the Openterface Mini-KVM and Openterface KVM-GO, TechxArtisan has just introduced the Openterface KeyMod pocket-sized USB multi-tool that turns an Android or iOS smartphone into a wireless keyboard, mouse, gamepad, presentation remote, or an SSH terminal for controlling PCs, servers, kiosks, Raspberry Pi boards, and other USB hosts. It comes in two variants: the KeyMod Mini with a USB-C port, and the KeyMod Plus with a USB-A port. KeyMod Mini connects to the phone through Bluetooth 5.3, while KeyMod Plus relies on a wired USB connection for higher bandwidth. It provides USB HID keyboard and mouse functions that work even in BIOS, along with a USB CDC-ECM network bridge for SSH, VNC, SCP, rsync, and other TCP-based tools.
